Ad Jingles (refusal to evolve)
Why is it that advertising agencies still allow companies to do old fashioned "gingle" songs on TV and radio spots? To me nothing is more disturbing than an oft out of key 2 line verse about a product!! I just heard one on the Cleveland station I'm watching and looked up to see a newer looking TV spot. Not a bad design at all, ruined by a man's voice singing the name of the company, some supposed "tag line" and then the name repeated. It's so out of date, and oh so predictable. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM A COMPANY WITH A GINGLE. And I'm not even like the young "in" crowd. Why do we refuse to evolve! We will surely perish.
